Whenever we move out on the road ,we prefer to look into our mobile gps for directions rather than asking someone on the road, as it is more reliable and safe.It has become a part of our life as most us even before leaving our house check on it for right direction.Also now days most of phone applications uses location services,in such cases if there is a problem in GPS signal then it can be very disturbing for us.

GPS means global positioning system.It tell us about our position (on a map) like where we are currently and in which direction we are moving.The development of GPS technique was first used by U.S. ARMY in 1973 for it's NAVY but later in 1995 it was introduced for general public.

In smartphones there is a censor for GPS which collects communication signals from GPS satellites placed in space and then tell us about our position on a map.This censor is controlled by different hardware and software in our phone and thus sometimes there is some problem in our GPS signal. In such cases you can use these methods to solve your problem:
Knowing what is the problem with GPS
If your phone has GPS problem then you can know about the problem by downloading GPS essential application ,which will tell us whether the problem is due to low signal or due to some hardware or software problem.In APP menu you will find satellite option ,click it, your phone will connect to the satellite,if it doesn't connect it means that there is some metal object around phone which is stopping the signal.It can even be your smartphone case,remove it, after this if it is connected but GPS is not functioning right then it means there is some problem with the phone's software.
Refreshing GPS data
Sometimes due to low satellite signal GPS get's freezed.In such cases install "GPS Status" or "TOOLBOX" apps , which helps in clearing GPS data and reconnecting to satellite.
Keeping GPS in high accuracy mode
Sometimes in order to save some battery-time we untick high accuracy option,which is good to save power but due to this GPS doesn't give accurate answers.So during location search you think that GPS is not functioning properly then go to location in settings and keep the GPS in high accuracy mode.
Keeping signal active
We tend to keep our GPS signal off for most of the times, which also results in performance issues, so keep your GPS on for better results and good signal.
